The establishment of the university management of intellectual property

Was all praise to Allah established department of Intellectual Property under the decision of the Rector No. 14 213 / s and date of 12/11/1432, and appointed Dr. / Mohamed bin Ibrahim Al-Arif as a manager, came as a result of the periodic meetings held by the ” Committee to develop mechanisms for the management rights and intellectual property “ formed based on the decision of the Rector No. 7089 / s and the date 15/6/1432 chaired by HE Dr. / Ahmed Hamed Nagadi the Vice President for business and knowledge creativity, and the membership of Dr. Yusuf Abdul Aziz al Turki - Dean of Scientific Research , Dr. Essam Ibrahim Azhar - Chief Executive Officer of Business and Knowledge alliance , Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Arif , and Dr. Mohamed S. al-Juhani.
The Committee has worked to prepare and develop a mechanism to convert the patents and scientific discoveries to real investment opportunities in light of the keenness of the university continued to spread a culture of innovation and investment, marketing and protection of intellectual property rights of creators and innovators from both inside or outside the university to build an effective partnership between the university and industrial, economical sectors. |
