Vice Presidency for Business and Knowledge Creativity Weekly Activities


The departments and sectors affiliated with the KAU Vice Presidency for Business and Knowledge Creativity is always keen on offering beneficiaries courses, programs, and lectures. This week, the different sectors have begun highlighting their various programs.
In March, the Research Endowment Fund and King Khalid University Endowments launched a series of training programs in the management and leadership domains, putting the collaboration agreement between the two parties into effect. That agreement was signed in the 12th Coordination Meeting of the Endowments of Saudi Universities. That series has started with the ‘Training Competencies and Effective Management Behaviors’ course, conducted by Professor Muhammad Al-Masyani (March 7 – 10) and introducing such topics as self-leadership competence, team leadership, creative thinking, and inspiring leadership. In the same context, the job skills training program is offered by Mr. Abdullah Al-Qahtani (March 14 – 16) to highlight the job basic concepts, the characteristics and skills of job readiness, and also the main pillars of work rehabilitation. Also, the training program, ‘Negotiation Skills and the Diplomacy of Influence and Persuasion’ is organized by Dr. Yasser Al-Dhuhaibi on March 21. It discusses the concept and tools of the negotiation process, negotiation strategies and tactics, and how to handle anger.

Prof. Abdullah Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, Dean of the Research and Consulting Institute, Dr. Hashem Al-Habashi, the Institute Vice Dean have met with Dr. Hani Al-Jahdali, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Business and Technology, to discuss and explore the possibilities and opportunities of collaboration between the Institute and UBT.

In addition, Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education has launched the 7 training courses for March 2021, offered from the March 3 to March 22. There is an idea fountain course conducted by Dr. Farida Ma’ajini. Also, a course in role modelling in the work environment is also offered by Dr. Ma’ajini. Dr. Hana Abu Dawood will conduct a course in the arts of a successful marital dialogue with samples of the conversations that Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, had with his wives. A ‘Journey to Happiness’ course is offered by Dr. Noha Bakri. Another course in ‘prioritization’ is provided by Professor Amina Qamlou. The ‘Keys to the Lost Personality’ course is also presented by Dr. Farida Ma’ajini, and finally, a course in detoxification is conducted by Dr. Haneen Mou’mena.

In an interview broadcast on SBC, Ms. Sarah Farhood, Director of the Molecular Imaging Center, powered by Wadi Jeddah Company, talked about the Molecular Imaging Center and the medical services it provides to beneficiaries. She has explained the techniques of the Positron Emission Tomography Computed Tomography scan in addition to how to produce radioactive isotopes.

In the cyber security domain and as part of “Meras” Digital Program, organized by the Professional Practitioner Center, a course on the cybercriminal’s methods to entrap the victim has been offered by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hassan. The course has revolved around the crime and its elements, the cybercriminal’s personality, the victims’ personalities, and the ways of capturing the victim.
In the media and digital marketing field, a course in ‘Campaigns Via Social Media Platforms’ has been offered by Dr. Muhammad Abul-Jadayel. The course has tackled the development of effective communication strategies, the design of a creative and attractive digital media campaign, and the creation of content that matches the general plan.

In addition, the Creativity Center has received Eng. Mona Al-Zahrani, the Executive Director of the Business Incubator and Entrepreneurship, to discuss prospects for cooperation and participation in serving the business sector and entrepreneurial projects in Taif.
The Creativity Center, represented by its Director, Dr. Essam Kawthar, has also signed a collaboration agreement with Clear Vision Company, represented by the General Manager, Mr. Sulafa Jabarti, aiming at providing technical solutions that support digital transformation initiatives and projects in various business sectors.
Moreover, the Center has held a development workshop, attended by its Director, Dr. Essam Kawthar and the Executive Assistant, Dr. Majid Al-Harthi, staff members and representatives of the Research Endowment Fund. Various new mechanisms and strategies have been discussed to improve the training infrastructure, efficiency, and outputs.

Within the Skills Development Series, King Fahd Library has announced organizing the ‘Family Education Courses: Children’s Behavior Modification Skills and the Strategies of Dealing with Adolescents’.
On March 14 – 15, two courses, offered by Dr. Ahmed Hafeedh and Mr. Abdul Salam Al-Ruwaihi, tackle the behavioral science theory and the different age stages of child development. They also discuss adolescence, its scientific and psychological meaning, the characteristics and features of adolescence, and the skills and techniques of dealing with adolescents.
The Knowledge Pioneers Network Program has also held the weekly meeting for the 10-to-12-year-old children. The meeting has motivated the attendees to do a certain task and share it on social media platforms. They have also been encouraged to read and discuss a story. Moreover, there have been other entertainment activities.
