The departments and sectors affiliated with the KAU Vice Presidency for Business and Knowledge Creativity is always keen on offering beneficiaries courses, programs, and lectures. This week, the different sectors have begun highlighting their various programs.
Montalaqat Advanced Company for Communications and Information Technology Ltd., which is one of the subsidiaries of Wadi Jeddah Company, was approved for implementing projects with its global partner Milestones, which specializes in security surveillance systems and analyzing visual data using artificial intelligence.
Montalaqat Advanced Company seeks to use its capabilities in the global and local technology market by building global partnerships in the field of information technology for the local product and providing appropriate environment to attract investment in the knowledge economy.
Similarly, Saudi Alliance for Development of Education and Training (Safia) offers 3 training courses on March 15, including: 1) Enhancing skills of workers in public relations presented by Professor Youssef Al-Ahmari. The course is designed for workers in the departments of marketing, public relations, and media. It deals with the axes of communication and public relations, functions of public relations, and content creation in public relations. 2) KURT SQ Development Program presented by Mr. Abdul Latif Al-Asiri. The program’s axes include concepts and methods of thinking, expanding the field of perception, skills of problem identification and solution. 3) Human Resource Management Course presented by Mr. Hattan Al-Najjar. Its axes ca be summarized in: fundamentals of human resource management, the administrative process in human resource management, mechanism of the performance evaluation process and the design of training and development system.
Moreover, Center for Creativity and Entrepreneurship launched its second version of the (Attliq) program, which was launched under the Startup House Incubator and Accelerator in partnership with many parties.
The program aims to assist entrepreneurs in the pre-accelerator stage by providing specialized services in technology and digital marketing. They are offered practical training to develop their startups and technical products with a specialized team of mentors. directors and
Duration of the program is 8 weeks, 5 days a week, covering theoretical and practical parts. The program is delivered in flexible hours through recorded lectures on Attliq platform.
The program has two phases: the first is available to all participants to learn the basics required for the development of the technical project, and the second is available only for five projects selected based on the outputs of the first phase. The five projects join an intensive program to develop the technical prototype with continuous follow-up with a team of experts and mentors.
The center also held a workshop to develop applications for providing technical support and guidance to entrepreneurs enrolled in the fifth course of the center on Tuesday and Wednesday 25-26 Rajab.
The workshop was presented by the Micro Details team specialized in developing technical applications. On the first day, the workshop reviewed technical solutions that help entrepreneurs in building their projects, stages of developing digital products and preliminary graphics. On its second day, it reviewed designing an interactive model and converting the model into an application.
On the evening of Monday 24 Rajab 1442 AH, the center held a dialogue session on entrepreneurship titled ‘Keys to Make Money’ presented by Dr. Salem bin Ali Bashmil, Trainer of Rialy's Ambassadors for Financial Awareness, and a certified advisor and mentor for the MOTEM scale. The dialogue was moderated by Dr. Amani Aqeel, Deputy General Supervisor.
The Scientific Endowment celebrated presence of the Director of the Center for Excellence in Environmental Studies at the university on the occasion of obtaining the necklace of Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd International Foundation for Voluntary Work for the Environmental Driving License Program. Director of the Center for Excellence, Prof. Dr. Iqbal Ismail, explained that the partnership between the Center for Excellence and the Scientific Endowment resulted in a pride achievement for the KAU. He stressed that this requires doubling the effort in order to find solutions to environmental problems and to curb environmental degradation. He urged members of society and institutions to join for achieving this.
Executive Director of the Scientific Endowment, Dr. Essam Kawthar, said: “We thank Allah for the achievement, which was laid down thanks to the confidence of the leadership of King Abdulaziz University and the efforts of an ambitious work team and strategic partnerships. We look forward for more achievements with our partners of success in service of the country”.
The Scientific Endowment also announced the holding of a major donations program presented by Prof. Yasser Al-Tuwaijri on March 15th, which deals with axes including an introduction to major donations, types of major donors, how to define targets, and stages of planning for major donations.
In a different context, King Fahd Library offered a course on managing and analyzing characters on the Hermann scale presented by Mr. Ashraf Al Harthi. The course deals with axes: how to understand and influence the self and others, the solution to differences with managers in the work environment, the development and organization of managerial skills in various sectors through the Hermann scale.
With regard to Creativity Center, in cooperation with the Ejada Center, the center announced a course presented by Ms. Mona Al-Dahitham for kids of the age of 0-3 years for childcare according to the Monastery approach. The course aims to prepare individuals who are able to create an innovative environment that commensurate with the psychological needs of the child. The course is held this March and attracts mothers and early childhood teachers, nursery managers and supervisors.
